For a very long time GRAPHITE pencil was my only medium for creating artwork. But because I am curious by nature, In 2010 my curiosity brought me into trying colors "I just had to try it! Try the color world. ". The new medium; SOFT PASTELS, quickly gained my interest thanks to the possibility of "blending" technique I mastered earlier in graphite pencil. Pastels instantly became my second favorite medium and I couldn`t get enough of it.
In the end of 2011, curiosity made me dip into painting and add ACRYLIC paint to my repertoire. Much different style than drawing, so I struggled quite a bit at the beginning. I discovered the fast drying properties of acrylics suit me well (though lots of artists don`t like acrylics exactly because of that).
In 2012 CHARCOAL and WATERCOLORS were also added into my mediums.
In 2012 I had to put my art to rest due to family responsibilities. Now , in 2019, after long 7 year-break, I am coming back and proudly adding OIL-BASED PENCILS to my mediums.

My major subject remains equine, western and racing, but I experimented with other subjects in the past as well (cats, dogs, ferrets, tigers, lamas, whales , even motorcycles). Inspired by the pure beauty of mother nature, animals, ranch life experience and other talented artists, and now motherhood, I continue with putting it all on paper and canvas and other surfaces , and creating amazing art to bring the atmosphere into collectors` and art fans` homes. Because "home , is where you feel good. Home is where your heart is in peace." . Note: My art signature varieties include: Lucka, Lucka S.R. and L.Scepkova. |
